Rebel Yogini

I was first introduced to Rocket yoga through Wendy and her teacher Amy in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2009. Wendy and Amy were students of Larry Shultz and It’s Yoga. I did my first 200 hour Teacher Training in Anusara Yoga in 2011. I practiced and studied Ashtanga Yoga at the same time. I developed a Hot Vinyasa practice as well and completed a 500 hour in The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.              I had the most fun practicing Dharma Yoga at a little local Yoga Studio that barely held 12 students…that led me to practice with Dharma Mittra in New York City many times over the years.                                                       Holly from Las Cruces,  New Mexico brought Rocket back into my life and I began traveling often to Indigo Yoga for Rocket Workshops with many of David Kyle’s students. I found my way to Austin, TX several times to practice and train with David Kyle.                                                     I’ve been Clean & Sober since 1985. I was a Dead Head, following the East Coast Grateful Dead tour up until 1985. I’ve always felt a connection to Rocket yoga through Larry’s experience with the Dead. The Rocket is like “rebellious ashtanga” another attraction for me. I love traditional Ashtanga,  and love to have the freedom to break the rules!                           I like to flow, and go upside-down, work on strength and flexibility –  everything The Rocket Yoga practice contains!                            I teach Rocket at StoneAge  climbing gym and love the energy of the students. I’ve served the public by delivering my mail route since 1989 and enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson whenever possible!
