Maha Michelle Martin
MAHA is a mystic, scientist, and yogini who has lived and taught in New York City (and internationally) for over a decade. She is playful, spiritual, authentic, and most happy when she is in community with other yogis. Her specialities are facilitating teacher trainings, specifically in sadhana, nidra, and philosophy.
On her journey in receiving more 2,800 hrs of certifications in yoga, she has drawn deep inspiration from her teachers, most notably: Marcus Veda, Jared McCann, Mariana Cisneros, Sally Kempton, Yogi Charu, and Judith Hanson Lassater.
During the pandemic, Michelle was adopted by the Rocket communities in Mexico City and London. Not being able to move to either place, she decided to create a Rocket scene in Brooklyn, New York. Come visit us at Frequency Movement.
In addition to her avid yogic studies, Michelle has received an MA from Columbia University’s Spirituality Mind Body Institute, where she focused the majority of her research on the intersections of yoga and clinical psychology. Philosophically, Michelle is a mystic, drawing her deepest life lessons from her studies in Kabbalah, Vedanta, Peruvian Shamanism, and the Tao.
