My yoga journey: Five years ago, I turned to yoga to revive the control and strength of karate and the harmony and grace of ballet. My body adapted to yoga easily, but my mind sought perfection. I learned from many teachers, keen to master Ashtanga and unlock the next pose. Stuck on the primary serie because of my tight hips I found rocket yoga! I learnt how to play with obstacles and own limits and found funky ways to get around them while having fun. The practice soon transformed me and my attitude. I became more aware, honest, kind, tolerant, ambitious, energetic, and brave.
I thank my teachers for leading me to a truer self. Marcus Veda and Hannah Whittingham provided the roots and foundations of my practice, the tempo, the calibration, the balance between tapas and santosha. Emi Tull showed me selflessness, devotion, and generosity. Helen Russell-Clarke inspired me with her creativity and effortless style. Stewart Gilchrist taught me how to connect the yamas and niyamas with the present and the big history.
I completed my 200-hour vinyasa training with Marcus and Hannah and assisted Marcus since 2020. This allowed me to practice and perfect my physical assist in basic and advanced asanas.
I did Rocket yoga level 1 with David Kyle in Barcelona 2021.
I am finishing my music for yoga teacher training with Marcus and Hannah which will enable me to make my own yoga mixes: part of my practice and teaching style.
My current practice includes Rocket-inspired practices with Imi Wiseman and Alan Ellman, Dharma with Emi Tull and Marc Kan – and also draws from other movements like capoeira and gymnastics. My teaching style blends these influences.
I don’t just do yoga, I share, live and love yoga! Forever student, I “teach what I practice and practice what I teach” (Larry)
