Miel Sabre
Miel Sabre is born and raised in London although has been named the “most Puerto Rican Londoner” by some of the Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico crew due to her Puerto Rican heritage. Her career started as a dancer with over 20 years of classical ballet and contemporary dance training included a 1st Class BA Honours Degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance. Her background in dance informs both her practise and teaching as she views the practise as a fluid and precise dance, both inward and outward.
Miel was also an acrobatic gymnast for 10 years and has trained with hand balancers around London, which is one of the reasons she gravitated to The Rocket. With a love for all things inverted, Miel hopes to turn the world upside down through her practise and encourages others to experience the joys of an inverted perspective.
After completing her 200hrs YTT with Trimurti Yoga she has now completed over 100hrs of training with David Kyle in The Rocket as well as training in his Mysore program at Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico. Miel has assisted a 200hr multi style YTT in Quito, Ecuador as well as teaching Rocket all over South and Central America.
You can find Miel flitting in between Puerto Rico and London. She has now began her journey into the study of Ashtanga Vinyasa and continues to train at AYPR to deepen both her practise and teaching skills. In addition to teaching yoga, she also enjoys photography and film and is a content creator for yogis and studios alike.
She encourages students to step out of their comfort zone, smile and have fun in order to receive all the gifts the practise has to offer.
