My introduction to yoga was a practical one—I approached it as an accessory movement practice to support my physical training, improve mobility, and help with recovery. At the time, it was just another tool to stay functional. But as I kept showing up, yoga started showing up for me in ways I hadn’t expected. It slowly shifted from something I did for my body to something that began supporting my entire life—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Over time, the practice became a lifestyle. What began as movement turned into mindfulness, and what started as routine became a path of self-discovery. Yoga has taught me to listen, to slow down, and to show up with more intention—not just on the mat, but in daily life.
Rocket Yoga, in particular, resonated deeply with me. Its dynamic pace and playful energy drew me in, but what kept me coming back was the balance between structure and freedom. It’s rooted in Ashtanga tradition, yet it invites you to explore and modify, which mirrors my own approach to movement. There’s no pressure to be perfect—just encouragement to show up, breathe, and try.
In my class, I aim to create a space that’s open, grounding, and welcoming to everyone—whether you’re new to the practice or have been on the mat for years. We move with purpose, but also with curiosity. I offer guidance, and encourage students to listen to their own bodies and adjust as needed. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve mobility, quiet your mind, or simply take a break from your day, there’s space for you here.
I don’t claim to be an expert. My teaching is shaped by my background in medicine and nutrition, which gives me a practical understanding of how the body functions, and by years of exploring different movement styles. That exploration—alongside my ongoing yoga practice—continues to teach me a lot about how varied and personal movement can be. I try to bring that same openness into my teaching. We’re all working with different bodies, different stories, and different needs, and I do my best to offer classes that reflect that.
What drives me to teach is the chance to share the love I’ve found in movement and in yoga as a whole. I’ve come to believe that movement is a form of care—a way to connect to ourselves with kindness, patience, and honesty. I’m constantly inspired by the human body and its ability to adapt, grow, and support us. Teaching feels like a way to honor that.
The values that guide me as a teacher are honesty, progress, and compassion. I believe in being truthful about where you are—your abilities, your limits, your energy—and also in gently challenging yourself when you’re ready. I don’t believe in pushing or performing; I believe in showing up consistently and using yoga as a way to feel more connected, more capable, and more present.
The student–teacher relationship, for me, is a shared space. I’m here to lead, but also to listen. Every student brings something valuable to the room, and I learn from them just as much as I hope they take something from me. My role is to support, offer tools, and hold space for people to explore what yoga means to them—on their own terms.
In class, I aim to keep things clear, approachable, and adaptable. I offer modifications and encourage students to move in ways that feel right for their own bodies. Music, breath, and playfulness are woven into the experience to keep it light, grounded, and engaging. The goal isn’t to “get somewhere” but to be here, fully—in the movement, in the breath, and in the moment.
My vision as a teacher is simple: I want people to fall in love with the bodies they’re in. Not because of how they look or how flexible they are, but because of what they’re capable of. I want students to leave class feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected—to themselves and to the present moment. Yoga has helped me get to know myself more honestly, and I hope to help others do the same.
