Ylenia Giuliano
Ylenia Giuliano Rocket Vinyasa Certification with Ambra in Italy 2025
It all started in 2015 when I was looking for stretching exercises to do after jogging. Since then, yoga has always had a place in my life, to varying degrees, until it became my faithful companion (running, in fact, was just a brief interlude in my sporting life). Since childhood, movement has always been a part of me through dance, who has been with me for many years. Practicing vinyasa yoga is a way of dancing, building a choreography of postures while letting myself be carried by my breath, which ultimately becomes my own music. Far from being a simple performance, my practice symbolizes a time of connection with myself where I can explore, evolve, grow…and let all go. My mat is an evolving and dynamic place, and the practices of asanas, pranayama, and meditation represent moments of introspection, silence, listening, and exploration of emptiness.
Teaching is a way to share with others the transformative power that yoga has on our body, mind and soul. I teach with passion, kindness, a touch of humor and diligence, in order to make yoga accessible to everyone. My teaching aim is to guide students, with support and confidence, through their inner journey in their practice in order to be fully present in their body, focused and mindful – during and after the practice. My intention is to establish a teaching method based on complementary roles, where each person is considered their own expert on their body and my role in class will be to offer suggestions and guidance to students. Humility, simplicity, curiosity and non-attachment are some of the principles of my teaching. My classes are inclusive, where every person is considered as unique, with their own body, personality, identity, energy and soul. I teach with compassion, kindness and with an open-minded spirit. With a background of psychologist in career guidance, I am a good listener and show empathy and I’m able to listen to people and to encourage to achieve their goals and to discover their potential.
Last but not least, embarking on the transmission of this rich and complex discipline that is yoga represents not only the sharing of my passion, but also the opportunity to work on the strength of the collective, of the group and to create a community. Just like the vibration that we feel when we chant the mantra OM together at the beginning or the end of the practice that deeply unites beings.
My Rocket journey started in Lausanne, that I discovered during a class leaded by Ilaria Sarti. I have been inspired by her passion, energy, simplicity and joyful approach to teach yoga. I also have been inspired by the deep knowledges of Ambra Vallo, her functional approach, diligence and the precision in leading classes. Her approach allows me to be more confident in some postures, such as handstand and others inversions, that became more natural and accessible.
As a teacher, I find important to engage myself in continuing education, workshops and exchanges with others teachers in order to grow personally and professionally. Here’s a review of the trainings that I followed during last years:
