Sydney
Sydney has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over a decade and finds deep joy in supporting others on their journey, both on and off the mat. Her teaching blends compassionate guidance with disciplined practice, always leaving space for curiosity and play.
She first encountered Rocket Yoga in 2018 through Pat McCleaf’s classes at a local climbing gym in Columbia, Maryland. The practice immediately resonated with her: a bold yet balanced blend of structure and freedom that kept her coming back.
Sydney completed her first 200-hour teacher training through the Kaivalya Yoga Method (2019–2020), and soon after, began immersing herself more fully into the Rocket system. She completed a 12-hour Rocket Yoga Immersion in April 2021, followed by a 50-hour Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa training later that year.
Her studies deepened with extensive training in the Dharma Yoga lineage, completing the 200-hour and 500-hour Life of a Yogi teacher trainings under Sri Dharma Mittra at the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City. She is currently completing her 800-hour certification through the same school.
In 2024–2025, Sydney continued her Rocket Yoga studies with an additional 130 hours of training under Andre Harris and a 50-hour Rocket TT with David Kyle in Miami.
Her practice has become a lifelong devotion, one that led to the founding of Yathā Yoga, her own studio in Howard County, Maryland, in July 2025.
Sydney teaches Rocket Yoga with heartfelt intention, honoring the roots of the practice while inviting students into its transformative power. Sharing Rocket with others remains one of her greatest joys.
