Sydney Schutzman

Awareness is the catalyst for creation.

Sydney has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over a decade and takes joy in supporting others in their growth, on and off the mat. In 2018, she first encountered Rocket Yoga in Pat McCleaf’s classes at a climbing gym in Columbia, Maryland, and was immediately drawn to the way Rocket balances structure and freedom. That balance kept her coming back.

She completed a 12-hour Rocket Yoga Immersion in April 2021, followed by a 50-hour Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa training in November 2021. From 2024-2025, she deepened her commitment with an additional 100 hours of Rocket Yoga Teacher Training under Andre Harris. Her practice has evolved into a lifelong devotion, one that now includes opening her own yoga studio, Yathā Yoga, in Howard County, Maryland in July 2025.

Sydney teaches from a place of compassion and seriousness, with a disciplined approach that always leaves room for play. Sharing Rocket with others continues to be one of her greatest joys.
