Pere Ibáñez Gimeno

I started practicing yoga in 2015 and got introduced to Rocket when I moved back to Barcelona in 2017. I have been practicing ever since with several Rocket teachers based in the city, including Amanda Quiambao, Ro Karlsson, Mafe Prieto and Carmen Stroblmayr. I have also been teaching Rocket classes since 2020.

Teaching philosophy:
I honestly started teaching yoga to make a living while I was studying a Psychology degree after leaving my career as Physical Anthropologist. But I realised it fulfilled me so much that I dropped Psychology and started teaching full-time. I have seen many students grow and self-actualise through yoga, and knowing that I have been part of that is the most gratifying feeling. My main concerns when teaching is being accurate, helping people progress, making them feel like they belong, and allowing the community to grow and develop. I am very interested in teaching my students the “why” behind the poses we do, and in creating sequences that make sense and take everyone through a progression.
