Sofia Tamayo
Sofi is a passionate yoga teacher and psychologist based in Chicago. In 2022, she discovered Rocket Yoga during a retreat—an experience that transformed her relationship with movement and became a turning point in her life, bringing freedom, playfulness, and renewed motivation into her practice.
She completed her 200-hour teacher training in India and an additional 200 hours of Rocket Yoga training with David Kyle across Mexico, Madrid, and Puerto Rico. Sofi loves traveling to train, valuing not only the practice itself but also the connection with the culture, people, and energy of each place she visits.
Teaching in both English and Spanish, Sofi integrates her psychological background to create a grounded, compassionate, and dynamic space. She invites students to explore and challenge themselves with curiosity, building strength, resilience, and a deeper connection both on and off the mat. <3
