Sarah Ratliff Rocket Vinyasa Certification 2025
My name is Sarah and I’m going on my ninth year to teach, currently teaching at the Shala Yoga Loft, located in the outskirts of Dallas, Texas. Yoga came into my world in 2011, where I became mesmerized by the acrobatic nuances of Ashtanga yoga, taking led classes around the area.  I had studied the practice, attended all the classes offered and in 2014 traveled to Mysore, India where I studied with Saraswathi Jois.  When I returned I was approached to teach at Dallas Yoga Center so I decided to gain further knowledge by getting my 200hour training from Alpha Omega. After years of attending workshops and trainings with various authorized Ashtanga teachers like David Swenson, Kino Macgregor, David Garrigues, Harmony Slater, David Williams to name a few, in 2019 I went back to India to study with Sharath Jois.
Upon returning, I funded a new yoga shala running a Mysore program.  The shala closed and
this altered alot in my yoga career, leading me to seek less rigidity diving more into other forms of movement like pilates, bar, miridian yoga, yin and functional movement. After years of a dedicated practice, injuries, and being hyper mobile,  I decided to focus on strength.
When I heard of Rocket yoga, I thought it was a great approach for all different reasons. It’s playful and allows the instructor to have creativity within the flow, meeting the student where they are in their practice and it allows to work on strength within the poses.  There are so many postures in the 2nd or 3rd series of Ashtanga that are beneficial to everyone.
