My Journey Into Yoga
My journey with yoga began through the lens of psychology. As a psychologist, I had studied the ways yoga could support people struggling with anxiety, depression, and emotional stress. I was fascinated by how movement and breath could influence the nervous system, emotions, and overall well-being. Out of curiosity, I decided to take a class and something inside me shifted.
Every time I stepped on the mat, I felt a little lighter, happier, more connected to myself. That sense of clarity and presence lingered long after class, and I knew I had to dive deeper.
In 2012, I enrolled in my first 200-hour yoga teacher training, not only to enhance my own practice, but to learn how to share this powerful tool with others. That training marked a turning point in my life. I fell in love with the art of teaching, the moving meditation, the deep stillness it creates. Teaching quickly became more than a passion, it became my calling.
Since then, I’ve been guiding students on their own journeys, honoring whatever brings them to the mat. Whether it’s for movement, healing, connection, or curiosity, it all belongs.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe yoga should meet people exactly where they are.
There is no single way to “do” yoga. Some come to the practice seeking strength or flexibility. Others arrive in search of calm, clarity, or emotional support. And sometimes, people come without knowing exactly why they’re simply following an inner nudge. No matter the reason, all of it is welcome.
As a teacher, my role is to create space for students to reconnect with themselves through the breath, the body, and their own inner wisdom. I use the physical practice as a doorway, a tool to help students explore deeper layers of who they are. Beneath the surface of movement, there is always something more: insight, healing, self-awareness.
With my background in psychology, life coaching, and hypnotherapy, I’m able to support students beyond just the physical. I bring these tools into my classes to help people explore not only how they move, but why they move the way they do. The mat becomes a mirror. The practice becomes a conversation with yourself.
I believe that our limitations, tightness, fatigue, resistance, are not flaws to be “fixed,” but invitations to listen. These moments are messages. When we meet them with curiosity, compassion, and awareness, real change becomes possible.
What to Expect in My Classes
My classes are a balanced blend of yoga, strength training, and mobility work, designed for real life and real bodies. I understand that most people don’t have hours to dedicate to a daily practice, so my classes are designed to be complete, efficient, and impactful, usually around one hour.
Expect sequences that are creative, playful, and thoughtfully structured. I always offer modifications and options to make the practice accessible for different energy levels, bodies, and experience levels. I want everyone to feel included and supported, no matter where they are that day.
Breath is at the center of everything. I guide students to connect breath with movement and use each posture as a point of self-inquiry. I often ask:
How does this feel in your body today?
What happens if you actually let go?
Can you meet yourself here without judgment?
We always close in gratitude and stillness, grounding the practice with presence and reflection.
Why I Teach
My goal isn’t just to lead a class, it’s to help people remember who they truly are. I want my students to feel empowered in their bodies, clear in their minds, and deeply connected to their inner selves. I believe yoga can transform not only how we move, but how we live.
That’s why I teach. And I’m so honored to share this path with others.
