Maria Rocket Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Manu and Mariana in Monterey

I first dipped my toes into yoga back in 2017 with Vinyasa classes twice a week, nothing too serious, just a little movement and breath. But then came 2020, lockdown life, and a whole lot of time on the mat. That’s when everything shifted: I fell completely in love with yoga and started practicing daily. It wasn’t just about movement anymore, it became a lifeline.

In 2021, I completed my 200-hour YTT, and that was the real game-changer. Yoga opened up into something much deeper, a way of seeing, living, and connecting. Since then, I’ve been on a joyful journey through different styles: Rocket (my current obsession), Dharma (for the spiritual spark), and Yin (because slowing down is an art). I completed my first 50-hour Rocket training recently and I’m always looking for ways to fly higher.

These days, I occasionally teach classes for friends, family, and even a monthly session at my workplace, any excuse to share what’s changed my life for the better. Teaching lights me up and I hope to do more of it as my journey unfolds.
