I spent 15 years at sea as a Marine Engineering Officer, working my way up to a Chief Engineer’s license. I’ve crossed every ocean, visited 72 countries, and operated in some of the harshest, highest-stress environments on the planet—including six years in the super-yacht industry. Through that time, I saw the world’s greatest wealth, but also the deep unhappiness that often hides behind it.

My yoga journey didn’t start with love at first sight. I tried Yin in Bali in 2017 and hated it. But when I moved to Sydney, I landed on the mat with Eileen Hall at Yoga Moves, She said she sensed I was a ‘hard worker’, and I’ll never forget her kicking me off the mat after 20 minutes and telling me to come back tomorrow. That was the ‘olive branch’ I needed to truly start my path.

After completing a multi-style 200hr YTT in Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa in Goa at Trimurti Yoga, I returned to Newcastle and stumbled into a Rocket practice at the Modern Yoga. I had no idea what it was, but I fell in love instantly. That love took me to Berlin for a 50hr intensive with Ambra Vallo at SHA-LA Yoga Studio. Meeting Ambra felt like finally meeting my teacher. The training broke me open in ways I never thought possible—physically and emotionally—culminating in nine rounds of tears on the final day. I have just finished another block of 50hrs Training with Vicky Roberts, learning so much from her.

I am honored to follow the lineage of Guruji, Larry Schultz and David Kyle and Ambra. My goal is to honor those who came before me by sharing this transformative, high-energy practice with a world that needs it as much as I did.
