I fell in love with yoga and the mindset the day i went to a vinyasa class. I had done many other practices previously to yoga – all of which had included breath and energy work. But it was yoga that resonated the most with me. And left me wondering and intrigued long after the physical practice. My love affair then grew into a spiritual and physical practice i couldn’t live without. Both on and off the mat I use my breath work in daily life and ‘breathe’ and ‘flow’ through ‘almost’ everything!
My love of Ashtanga and vinyasa sees me through on a daily basis! I love to guide and share that energy on the mat with our students,  hoping to help them to grow their love of yoga and strengthen their own practice, whilst finding that balance and seeing their light within!
I believe we find our vocations in life as we journey through and take the path most challenging. In order to progress we must come outside of our usual comfort zones to create new and meaningful paths into deeper understanding of what our minds need to do to connect deeper with our bodies. Within in each teacher is a student forever learning and wanting to deepen their knowledge and practice further. Always absorbing the philosophy of ancient yoga and today’s modern yoga. Staying true to the heritage whilst adapting to changes and students needs and requirements to take them deeper into their journey. Yoga has many meanings to many people. Students often begin with the psychical aspects of yoga and then before they realise they are deeper into the mindfulness of their practice, they stop thinking so much about where it will take them physically. Just ‘being’ in the moment, present in each stage of their journey.
Guiding them to see more from their breath and flow than just the physical aspects of their practice. For when we stop listening to the noises in our minds do we truly hear what is speaking to us.
