Sarah Spires
Sarah Spires Rocket Vinyasa Certification with David Kyle at Miami Life Center 2025
Sarah’s journey into yoga, like many others’, began through movement. Growing up as a gymnast and competing at a national level, she spent years pushing her physical limits and chasing perfection — until a series of life-changing injuries shifted her path entirely.
Moving to Florida opened new doors: she fell in love with the ocean, with surfing, and with the freedom of being outdoors. While traveling through Bali on a surf trip, she stumbled into her first ashtanga class and something within her shifted. What started as a way to heal her body soon became a lifelong practice that continues to shape her perspective and way of life.
With over 500 hours of training in Ashtanga, yin yoga, and now Rocket Vinyasa, Sarah’s teaching style blends mindful strength with fluid, creative movement. On the mat, Sarah reminds you that yoga isn’t about perfection or forcing yourself into a shape. When you honor your body, your breath and your unique path, you tap into the true healing power of yoga.
Rocket vinyasa, in particular, blends the intensity of a powerful challenge with the playfulness of exploration. Her classes are designed to empower students to cultivate balance between effort and ease, to listen deeply, to move with intention, awareness and curiosity. Always keeping her teachings grounded, accessible, and true to the essence of yoga, Sarah also enjoys weaving chanting and dharma talks into her classes. She emphasizes the importance for strength training and functional recovery and how yoga asana compliments any athletic routine.
When she’s not on the mat, you can usually find Sarah rock climbing, surfing, or chasing sunsets outdoors. Nature is where she feels most connected — a constant reminder of balance and presence.
Whether she’s teaching in her home town, St. Augustine, Florida, guiding retreats, or facilitating yoga teacher trainings with School Yoga Institute, Sarah’s intention remains the same: to create space for others to reconnect with themselves, find confidence in their own strength, and to live with a deeper sense of purpose and joy — both on and off the mat.
