Helena Donoso

Helena Donoso Rocket Certification at Blanco in Mexico City with David Kyle

I’m Helena, based in Venice, CA, but originally from Brazil. I grew up around the world, living across seven countries. Vinyasa yoga found me in 2013, in high school, and quickly became a profound guide for self-discovery, presence, and creating internal space.

In 2023, I completed my 200-hour training at Sendatsu, the YTT school by Leah Zaccaria at Shefa Venice, guided by Leah, Beau Campbell, and Yancy Schwartz. My education continued with Leah’s 50-hour Next Level Leadership program, which refined my teaching skills and helped me find my voice.

In 2024, I immersed myself in Corpoesia for four months – a practice that blends yoga, dance, and movement culture – created by Bianca Brasil, a teacher in Rio de Janeiro. This experience introduced a more organic, unstructured approach to movement, deepening my understanding of flow and expanding my perspective on the art of motion.

In 2026, I completed David Kyle’s 50-hour Rocket teacher training in Mexico City at Blanco Yoga.

In my personal practice, I focus on Rocket and continue learning from Yancy Schwartz at Shefa Yoga in Venice. Rocket brings me discipline, inspiration, strength, and profound inner stillness – it’s the practice that creates so much space in my mind and body. I drank the Kool-Aid and love it deeply.

I believe in movement as a powerful tool for self-discovery and spiritual growth. Expanding our movement repertoire allows us greater freedom to express ourselves in the world.
